Neptune-Benson has installed an aquatic filtration system to help the Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas Resort save water and energy.
The Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas Resort in Australia has replaced its two 14metre long dual sand filter systems because they were showing signs of wear. The filters were retrofitted with Neptune-Benson Defender aquatic filters.
This model was chosen to produce the safest, cleanest, highest quality water possible, improve the sustainability of the hotel’s pool network and reduce water waste, lower energy usage and lower maintenance costs.
Hamish Barr, manager of engineering, Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas Resort, said:
“We have achieved water that is crystal clear and clean. These filters with their low running cost and exceptional efficiency will help deliver benefits to our customers, the hotel and importantly our environment for many years to come.”
