Bury St Edmunds-based brewer Greene King is raising a glass to its local Duke and Duchess with a new seasonal beer, Duke's Cambridge Ale.
The 4.2 per cent ABV golden ale has been launched to celebrate the nuptials of Catherine and William after they were named Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds' neighbouring city.
Greene King's head brewer John Bexon undertook the challenge of brewing a new ale fit for a future king and queen and said: "Cambridge is the closest city to the brewery, which makes Will and Kate our local Duke and Duchess.
"It's been an absolute pleasure to brew an ale in their honour, one to celebrate their links to the area and a great pint to toast to their future happiness and success.
"Duke's Cambridge Ale is a very refreshing beer with a subtle melon aroma and taste and light golden colour thanks to the pale malts we have included in the brew."
The new beer is available across the UK from today (31 May).
